Emergency Services Outreach Classes

Emergency Services Outreach is a support and educational resource for healthcare professionals and the general public in Mesa County and western Colorado communities. St. Mary's Emergency Services Outreach is a Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment-approved training center.

Safety Programs for Students

St. Mary's EMS Outreach works with local fire and health departments and traffic safety councils to design and present a variety of school programs, including bicycle and skateboard safety, seatbelt use, and driving and alcohol use.

Sara the Safety-Saurus - the Dinosaur Mobile - is a fun, traveling teaching tool which presents a high-tech lesson in anatomy and body systems to area students.

Regional EMS Activities

As part of the five-county Northwest Regional EMS Council, St. Mary's EMS Outreach works with other western Colorado emergency services, local governments, and trauma advisory councils to prepare mass casualty plans, develop local instructor networks, and initiate community safety programs.

Phlebotomy Classes

St. Mary's Laboratory offers Phlebotomy Classes as needed.  Please contact Sandy Calkins at 970-298-2867 for further information and schedules.
