Clinical Placement Requests

Student nurses will be considered for clinical rotations only if your nursing school has a Student Affiliation Agreement with St. Mary's. If your school has never placed students with St. Mary's, contact the student placement coordinator to start the application and affiliation process. After an affiliation agreement is reached, you can request clinical placement for your nursing students through the student placement coordinator in St. Mary's Nursing Support Services. Please do not contact unit clinical managers directly; clinical managers cannot arrange student placements and will refer all requests to Nursing Support Services.

Pre-licensure Student Placements

Placement requests for students in pre-licensure programs must be made by nursing school faculty, advisors, or other school personnel. We do NOT accept placement requests directly from students in pre-licensure programs.

Post-licensure and Advanced Practice Placements

Some nursing schools require students in post-licensure and advanced practice programs to arrange their own clinical placements. These students should contact the student placement coordinator in St. Mary's Nursing Support Services to begin the placement process.
