Getting healthy isn't just about a low number on the scale. That's why St. Mary's Weight Management Programs include education and support to help change habits and patterns, think differently about food, and make activity an important part of life.
"People who take advantage of several types of support are the most successful in losing and maintaining their weight," says Karen Milbank, RN, MPH, coordinator of St. Mary's Bariatric Surgery Program."St. Mary's offers help with the physical, behavioral, and intellectual aspects of weight management."
Program participants have the support of counselors, dietitians, exercise physiologists, and fellow class members. Programs include membership in St. Mary's Wellness Center health club, a well-equipped and professionally staffed gym and warm water pool in St. Mary's Life Center.
