“Reflections of Christ,” an inspirational fine art photo exhibit, will be on display and open to the public February 17- 21, from 3:00 - 7:30 pm daily, in the new Saccomanno Education Center. The exhibit is made possible through collaboration with members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“St. Mary’s is pleased to host and co-sponsor the ‘Reflections of Christ’ exhibit,” says Sister Barbara Aldrich, vice president of Mission Integration. “We have purposely chosen the first week of Lent for the exhibit so individuals may experience it as part of their Lenten journey. We are also privileged to offer a special opportunity for our employees and volunteers to meet the artist.”
The show of more than 30 large-scale, black-and-white and color photographs depicting scenes from the life of Christ was created by Mark Mabry. The show has been exhibited in more than 20 U.S. and Canadian cities since its first showing in Mabry’s home town of Mesa, Arizona, in January 2008. More than 1.5 million people around the world have viewed the dramatic, inspirational photos in person or online. An original musical score and brief video presentation accompany the show.
The exhibit will be open to the public free of charge. Guests 12 years of age and older are welcome.
Following its showing at St. Mary’s, “Reflections of Christ” will be on display at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2542 G Road. Members of the church will also sponsor a public meet-the-artist event and two concerts.
