St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Ale House invite the public to celebrate, enjoy, learn, and win at the Ale House, 2531 North 12th Street in Grand Junction on March 5 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
- Celebrate the reopening of the newly remodeled Ale House
- Enjoy the Ale House’s Bottom’s Up brew
- Learn about detecting and preventing colorectal cancer
- Win a door prize, including a summer picnic set and Ale House gift certificate
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and St. Mary’s wants area residents to know more so they can do more to take an active role in their own health. “Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S., but it doesn't have to be! It is one of the most preventable forms of cancer,” says Debra Hesse, coordinator of St. Mary’s cancer survivorship program. “Nine out of 10 colon cancers could be prevented or successfully treated with regular colon cancer screenings.”
