Wellness Participant Information
A physician referral for exercise is required to become a current participant of the Life Center. Once approval from the physician has been obtained a wellness assessment is required before beginning an exercise program. An exercise physiologist or certified athletic trainer will review the participant’s health history, resting blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation. When appropriate, other tests contributing to health and wellness will be performed for baseline evaluation. This might include BMI, body composition, waist-to-hip ratio, endurance, flexibility, strength, and balance. In addition, new participants receive exercise instruction and follow-up appointments.
